Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and passionate Fund Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our mission. The Fund Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our portfolio companies, managing investment strategies, and ensuring optimal success and impact on the future of funding for women-led startups.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
Manage the financial performance of our portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance to maximize growth and profitability.
Conduct thorough financial analysis, including due diligence, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.
Investment Strategy:
Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with Fierce Foundry's mission and goals.
Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities that align with our focus on female-founded startups.
Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors, stakeholders, and strategic partners.
Collaborate with entrepreneurs, offering financial expertise and guidance to enhance their business success.
Risk Management:
Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks within the portfolio.
Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform decision-making.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders, including performance metrics, financial forecasts, and investment updates.
Conduct regular analysis of portfolio performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
Impact Measurement:
Work closely with the Fierce Foundry team to measure and assess the social and economic impact of our investments on female entrepreneurship.
Contribute to the development of impact measurement frameworks to evaluate the success of our initiatives.
About You: You are a strategic thinker, passionate about driving positive change, have a track record of successful fund management and want to contribute to shaping the future of funding for women in technology. You also have:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience as a Fund Manager or in a similar financial role, preferably within the venture capital or private equity sector.
Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, with a focus on female-led ventures.
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
Passion for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in entrepreneurship.
